We pride ourselves on customer
satisfaction. By working together we make sure that the design and
development of your website exceeds your expectations!
At Mibec Communications we
work with you to develop your website from the bottom up. Our process
begins with understanding you and your business. Whether you are a small
business, a non-profit organization, or an individual we will work with you to
determine your website requirements. Our initial consultation is free!
The basic approach to any
website is to design and build a site that will attract the right kind of
customers, provide information about you and your company, and to encourage your
customers to browse your website. The end result should be that the
customer decides to do business with you.
There are several steps
that are required to take you from the beginning - an idea, to the end -
your website!
Step 1 - Purpose
What is your site supposed to do? Are you selling
something or providing information? This is the building foundation - your focal
point. Everything about your site should revolve around this, and the
message should be conveyed clearly and quickly on the first page. It's
also important to come up with a domain name so that it can be built into the
site pages whenever possible.
Step 2 - Features
Do you need a feedback form on your contact page, a shopping
cart on your products page, or a picture gallery to display your portfolio?
Focus on features that will support your purpose versus fancy flash intro
pages that will only frustrate your potential customers.
Step 3 - Hierarchy
Every website has a hierarchy - a diagram that shows how you
will navigate from one page to another, and how pages relate to each other.
This hierarchy forms the basis of your navigation structure.
Step 4 - Content
Content is King! Focus on your customers needs instead
of what you are trying to sell, and you will be successful. Your content
is the most important part of your website.
Step 5 - Look and Feel
This is the visual part of your site - make it clean and
simple. It should be tied into your industry and consistent throughout.
You don't want you customers wondering if they are still on your site, or
whether they've taken a detour and ended up somewhere else.
Step 6 - Build/Test
This one is basically our job, but because we've spent the
time together defining steps 1-5, there will be less chance of having to go back
and redo things. This means lower cost for you!
Step 7 - Review
Here we meet again for a final review. This is your
chance to look at the final product, show your website to your friends and make
any required changes.
Step 8 - Go Live!
We can recommend a hosting company if you don't have one, and
upload all your pages to the hosting server. Now the world can see you,
and growth is at your doorstep!
